Precision Agriculture Field Day June 29th

UAV imagery converted to peanut plant population by Agribugs.

I encourage you to join us at a Precision Agriculture Field Day at 10:30 AM  on June 29th at the Bar D Ranch near Columbia City.  This will be a brief program highlighting many of the technologies used in our local PA project. Technologies displayed include: Veris mapping, grid soil sampling, UAV and satellite imagery, elevation mapping, landscape suitability for variable rate irrigation, and microclimate variability and plant disease. This is a great opportunity to compare the data collected (maps) with observable field conditions, and to meet with scientists and vendors participating in precision agriculture in north Florida. We have seen some very interesting early results with the Veris machine and using drones to map plant stands and plant health. I look forward to sharing these early results. A sponsored lunch will follow; provided by Helena, Farmers Coop, and Mayo Fertilizer.
